Our birthday, your fun
Next week it’s our first birthday. We’ve loved being in the Mt Albert village for the past year and we’ve met lots of awesome people along the way. To celebrate, we’ve curated a calendar packed with events and happenings just for you!
Every birthday should involve hot wings, and an epic burger. Our hot wings are fiery and come with a sublime blue cheese mayo. Best of all, they’re $1 each (minimum order of 5). We’ve also got a 1/2 pound Wagyu beef burger we’ve named the Mount Albert Massive. It’s also got guacamole, jalapenos and a zesty remoulade. Served with our beer battered fries, your taste buds will zing!
Fifteen dollar Burger Tuesdays and Pizza Wednesdays continue every week at Albert’s Post. Quiz nights are on every Wednesday at 8pm, and our chilled Sunday live music sessions happen every Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. They’re free – so just come and enjoy the sounds or have an early dinner and relax.
Our FIRST EVER Friday night live music night kicks off on September 21st from 8:30pm, when Oliver Bones will bring the house down with his style of Country, Folk, Bluegrass and Indie. Come dance a jig and have some bar snacks and cocktails.
Comedy, oh comedy. Our ever popular comedy night is happening on Thursday October the 4th! Star act is the energetic and fun Michele A’Court, who will be supported by Joel Hansby, Tim Batt and David Coreos. This is always a fantastic night which sells out quickly, so get your tickets now through Eventfinda, or pick some up from Albert’s Post.
Craft beer lovers, rejoice at the prospect of our Emerson’s Tap Takeover, kicking off on Thursday 18th October. Twelve Emerson’s beers will be matched with some tasty snacks. It’s not just all about the beer, though. If you are a fan of Mt Difficulty wines, you will love this. The always-charming Scott Wilson from Mt Difficulty will be hosting a number of wine-loving fans on Thursday the 11th October for a night of and you’ll learn the story of Mt Difficulty and their fabulous wines. Tickets on sale via Eventfinda for $45.
Last but not least, on Thursday October 25th musician Matt Joe Gow will perform at Albert’s Post on his Break, Rattle & Roll tour of Australia and New Zealand. Matt’s originally from Dunedin, now residing in Melbourne. Break, Rattle and Roll ranges from the Stones-esque rock and roll to the hushed heartbreak of songs like ‘Old Hotel Room”. The album features guest spots from popular Melbourne acts The Weeping Willows and Gretta Ziller as well as Katya Harrop who also appeared on Seven Years.
